Happy to here you boys think that buying a house with a basement suite is a good idea. We just renovated the basement and moved into it a year and half ago instead of moving. Rented the upstairs, we're now going back upstairs, would love some advice and help with bathrooms and taking out the wall between kitchen and Livingroom. Also wanting a sunroom added to house. Mabey a skylight for more light. Thought about moving, but after reading your article and watching what you did on your show I think It may be better to renovate upstairs. Have a 40.0000.00 budget. The house is a 1250 sq ft 2 story home built in the 70's. Very common home and one that is still affordable for 1rst time buyers in Vancouver and fraser valley Area. Hopefully the Property Brothers will get this post. thanks
